We use eTapestry to track our membership via online DIY forms. When a parent registers an account is created in the parent's name. Then when they register a child the system assume that the child is the parent and adds the journal entry to the parent's account. A child's account is not created. We want a separate account to be created for the child. The parent and the child have different first names but the system assumes they are both the same. We therefor have to create an account for the child and then create a journal entry copying all of the data that went into the parent's account. It is a lot of extra work. My suggestion would be to have the ability to turn off duplicate matching in the settings of the DIY form. Give the organization the option of not using it.
