Reducing the Number of Required Fields in DIY Online Donation Form

All best practice information out there on website giving states that the less fields a donor has to fill out, the more likely they are to donate to a cause online.  eTapestry's DIY Online Donation Form requires a lot of address fields, and I would love to be able to remove some, such as the Phone Number field and the Country field.  My org is so local that no one would be donating from out of country...so it's an extra, superfluous field for us.  Having control over those required fields so that some could be hidden would really help us to be in line with current online donation form best practices.

I agree as well. If someone sees and agrees with the cause and wants to give $ one time knowing they haven't given any info to be "hounded" with, give them the option. I was running a test. I just wanted to put in my email. Requiring a physical address and phone is excessive. Should be able to design the form with those as options, not requirements. I know my constituent core. I don't need to capture the address of an impulse giver.

Agree with the above comments! We have also received feedback that donors do not wish to provide their phone numbers but the online form does not allow us to remove it. We think this should be a priority!

Yes, we need this.  We are now (2018) receiving complaints from donors about having to provide phone and e-mail information.  Many organizations do not require the phone number any more, and many individuals do not like to give it.
