Add last donation date and/or amount to donor report

I want to be able to run a report that shows a group of donations (say, today's) but also the date they last donated and that amount.

Also require a report that has the last transaction date within a specified period. Currently can only do in a query so with the information I require then have to match up the query export with the report in Excel, which given the number of times we need to do this is very time consuming.
