Add a "round up" feature to eStore transactions

We've had numerous people inquire about "rounding up" their class registrations to benefit our class scholarship form. So, for example, if they are signing up for a $25 painting workshop, give them the option of paying $30, with the extra $5 being recorded as a donation. Right now, there is no functionality that permits tracking a donation and a registration within a single transaction. This would be a great, easy way to "convert" class-takers into donors.

    There are no plans to add a “round up” feature, but you can add the ability to accept donations eStore by following these steps:

    • Log into eTapestry
    • Click Management > eStore
    • Under the Tasks menu, click New Item
    • Set to the Name to something like “Round Up Donation” or Enter a Donation Amount”
    • Fill out the Short and Long Description
    • Under Financial Information, set the Item Deductibility to Partially or Fully Deductible
    • Mark the checkbox next to Allow donor to specify donation amount
    • Under Steps, click Next
    • You can upload a thumbnail and regular image if you’d like
    • Under Steps, click Next
    • Select options under Transaction Attributes, or accept the defaults
    • Under Steps, click Next
    • Set up Checkout Questions or Static UDFs if applicable
    • Under Steps, click Next

    The new item will now display on the main page of your Cart page or you can move it to a category
