Currently there is no way to do this but to manually handle this. If a journal entry could be made (a new type called PERSONA_Change) that would have the fields of a persona in it, the type of persona, and the date to process the change, then eTapestry could daily check for these automatic changes to happen, and fill in the date that the change was done.

The In effect From/To only handles constantly recurring persona changes. I am meaning an over right of the persona type for the donor.
