I love etap but the data entry is clunky and slow. I'd love to have a linear, batch entry screen with a simple F4 lookup for account names that can be reconciled with deposits before posting to the journal. You'd just tab across entering the gifts or pledges, make sure the amounts match the deposits and have a 'post' button that would then create the journal entries.
