Hi. Sounds like good news but Im still waiting to know what the default time was reset to. And will we have the ability to control that internally?

With our last update we did extend the timeout session for our customers. As a reminder, this setting helps protect users from more than just leaving their workstation with eTapestry open but also helps in a variety of other situations regarding security (no matter where you are working from....even from home). In the end, security of your data is most important and we will continue to try and balance your data security and convenience in using the system.
This feature assumes we can't manage our own workflow and security. Who is doing this work from a coffeeshop or scenario where someone would walk up to a logged in computer? Now, who is doing this work in a situation with lots of starts and stops throughout the day? Blackbaud needs to trust users and give them the tools to make smart decisions for their own use-case. Company line of "this is what we decided was safe after not having any timeout function for years. end of story" is so condescending to users.
we are usually using E-Tapestry as a way of recording notes during a meeting with a client. Timing out so quickly while we are involved with a delicate conve4rsation like this is so awkward. We really need to be able to set our own time out depending on the role of the person using the database and what they are actually doing at the time.

Thank you Mike. What has it been increased to please?
Agree with comments. This should be something that is editable by the organization in some way.

Please add a field to the user accounts that we can put the # of minutes someone can still be logged in without any activity being recorded.
@Andrew Goodwin......Could you please send me an email, regarding the above....I have a couple of questions for you. Thanks. mike.rusche@blackbaud.com
This change is very inconvenient. We need a way to extend the time based on our own workflow.
