When a monthly donor gives by Credit Card it would be great if the card had expired that it automatically sent the donor an email saying Attention Needed so that the donor knew that card had expired and could update the information

Yes, they often think they are still giving. Without monthly receipts when they do give, the donor is really left in the dark (unless they are the rare one who tracks things closely in their personal records).
