I just discovered something using quick entry default that I think might create a problem for others as it did for me.

A couple of weeks ago we found an error that I had made in entering a donation. I wasn't sure what had happened. I enter our donations the day after they come in usually. So I set the quick entry default with the correct date and anything else that will be the same. A week or so after the unexplained error I noticed that if I select split transaction, it goes back to today's date instead of staying with the quick entry default date. That was why my unexplained error had the wrong date a couple of weeks ago. It had been a split transaction.

I'm confused as to why split transaction doesn't work with quick entry default. I suspect that a lot of people have had the same thing happen and haven't noticed that the date changed. I was told that using permanent default entry will get rid of that issue, but then you have to remember to clear defaults each time. Probably just as easy to remember to correct the date if you have a split entry to put in. I would like to see this corrected in quick entry default, but if that can't be done, then I think there should be a pop up or something so that people KNOW that the date gets changed if you have a split entry to put in and you are using quick entry default.
