The new version of outlook doesn't appear to allow the coms addin which is where the eTapestry plugin sits. Eventually the new outlook will be forced upon all of us, so will a new version of the outlook plugin be rolled out to make it compatible?
I totally agree with Lindsey Silva in her comments below. This Outlook Add-In is an essential part of our business functionality with e-Tapestry and our workplace is looking to move everyone onto the new version of Outlook very soon. If we lose this feature in e-Tapestry it would be a game-changer and we'd have to move to a CRM that does offer this feature with the new version of Outlook (there are plenty on the market)!
I'm sure many more people would vote for the software upgrade but they're probably not aware that they may lose it if/when they move to the new version of Outlook.
At a certain point, Microsoft might not wish to support the old version of Outlook anymore, and once we lose the ability to save emails directly from Outlook into eTap, we might have to look elsewhere for a database system that will connect Outlook to eTap. This will be a hassle and a cost for us (and undoubtedly many others), and a loss of business for Blackbaud/eTapestry.
I have a feeling this poll isn't more widespread due to the fact that many people aren't aware they're using the Classic version of Outlook, or might not know to vote here, or might not understand that this key function is in jeopardy.
I just had a case on this very same thing. I was told to create an "idea" - which is quite silly to be asked to create an idea that Blackbaud keep its supported integrations functioning. Imagine if Constant Contact integration with eTapestry stopped working and we were told ... "please create an idea" ...ugh.
This is critical. I would be lost without this function.
We will be phased out of the old version of Outlook shortly and in my opinion without the Add-in function E-Tapestry would not be fit for purpose.

I think it is essential that eTapestry updates the plug-in so it is compatible with new outlook.
