Currently failed recurring gift BBMS donations appear as two separate transactions in the constituent journal - one with the intended donation and then one showing it was rejected. As the original intended gift is identical to other gift transactions that are accepted, there is no way to exclude them from the query powering gift aid mass updates meaning one must manually exclude these transactions so as not to give false information to HMRC.
