After struggling for some time, I have found the editor in Communications for templates and documents is extremely primitive and virtually unusable. I would like to see the following improvements:

1. Ability to insert images directly without going to the image library

2. Preview button does not work - I have a letter that I created, but when I click Preview in the toolbar, I only see one of the images I inserted, but none of the text.

3. Ability to upload an existing template created in Word or other word processing app, and then to edit that uploaded template.

4. Font - I tried adjusting the font in my template, but when I saved the template and then generated a preview in Word from the menu on the left side of the editor, my font always comes out as Arial bold.

5. I would like the ability to show some kind of guide, like rulers or a grid, on my template so I can position images and text accurately.

I have found the rest of eTapestry to be a well-designed and well-organized app that is a joy to work with. However, this is definitely not the case with the editor.
