Had a "sign up for email newsletter" widget to embed into your website?
The DIY form to sign up for eNewsletters is a great start. However...
1) There is no embeddable widget for a webpage, so the best we can have is a clickable button on our website that takes people to the form. Psychologically, we lose some "impulse shoppers" that may be willing to type their email address into a box on your site, but don't want to click through to another page where they have to fill out a lengthy form.
2) It would be great if we could limit the number of required fields for people to sign up for email newsletters. Again, we lose people when we have an overly long signup form that requires address, phone number, and a lot of other fields. It would be great if we could create a SHORT, IMPULSE-FRIENDLY sign up form that ONLY requires email address, First Name, and Last Name.
