Journal filter ideas

Here are couple of things about the journal filter that would make it more user friendly.

1. I have to click my filters than scroll down to hit apply.  It would be nice to have apply at the top.

2. Once I hit apply the filter box stays open and my journal entries are hidden until I close the filter box.  Can it close automatically.

3. I would like to be able to set a default filter setting for all my records.  I usually am looking at gifts and recurring gifts and would like to permanently filter out comments unless I need to see them.

4. I miss the pages at the bottom.  Sometimes I just want to see an entry from early on and I can't get to it easily.

We made an update this weekend to reduce the number of clicks needed to view all transactions. Now you can click the "Select all" link, to the right of Transaction, in the Journal Filters modal to quickly select all transaction types.

For additional information about what else was released this weekend, please check out our 7.76.0 New Features Guide.

We also close the modal once "Apply" is clicked. I'm marking this idea as Completed, but please feel free to submit ideas for other Journal functionality you're interested in.

Would very much like to have default filters on the Journal page.

It would be so helpful to be able to set a DEFAULT for the Filter so that when I am working on a particular strategy and only want to see Gifts, for example, for multiple accounts that I don't have to reset the filter every time I open a new account to research.

I agree with you and would like to add that it would be nice to have the option to select all transactions instead of having to click each individual transaction type.
