Many of the imports completed within our organization are to update information contained in the database rather than adding new accounts. When updating information (ie choosing to overwrite data in Etapestry) it would be nice not to have the name format as a required field. If I choose not to map from the file I'm importing, but instead select "assign as family" for instance, then even the individuals I'm updating will convert to family format, even if they are already in the database.
