We are a disability charity and currently the DIY forms are not suitable for people with a visual impairment, using a screen reader or other software. Often people with a visual impairment have their system set up to help them read text - this may be white text on a black back ground, yellow text on a black background or otherwise. The current DIY form does not allow us to set a background colour on the drop-down lists or text entry fields meaning that these people end up seeing black text on a black background i.e. nothing! This means they cannot interact with any of our DIY forms.
