Add "Email Signature" to My Preferences and a check

Add "Email Signature" to My Preferences and a check box to include it on emails

Please add a WYSWYG box for Email Preference to the My Preferences page where I can create an HTML email signature. Then add a check box to the email interface where I can have my signature automatically inserted into outgoing email.

Newbie here. Has anything been done to make this happen? I haven't found (yet) a way to add an email signature block in a template.
