Agreed!  Please put this in place ASAP.  Not being able to do this automatically is embarrassing and makes the system look extremely antiquated!

This is a great suggestion. I have spent an inordinate amount of time changing people's gifts because they didn't intend for the initial gift to be withdrawn the day of recurring gift set up. It is annoying to have to communicate about refunding their gifts (and then actually having to refund them) just because of a system limitation. It makes us look unprofessional when we have to consistently refund the first gift.
