Since we, the admins, use the online cart for credit card sales in the office, it would benefit us to be able to mark "rentals" and "gallery sales" as taxable in the cart preferences, so that when we are checking a customer out for a gallery sale, for example, the sales tax is automatically calculated based on the amount we enter into the "Gallery Sale" item in the cart. We do not pre-load the cart with all of the items and prices in the gallery, since we have a revolving exhibit and many different/changing prices. We would like to charge sales tax without having to calculate it ourselves (and so that we have a record for bookkeeping that keeps sales tax and item price separate for our records), and if we run it as a separate item in the cart, we are charged the 2.6% plus 26 cents per transaction on top of the sales tax as well as the item price, which makes no sense.
