It would be great if I could create a DIY Form that was for internal use only to process in-kind donations.
As a small, community supported homeless shelter we rely on volunteers to provide services. We also receive a high volume of in-kind donations in the form of food, personal care items, housewares, clothing, furniture, etc. We have approximately 20-30 volunteers a week covering our front desk and check-in process. That means these are the folks that are receiving the in-kind donations. As a result, we do not want to grant access to eTapestry to each of these individuals in order to process an in-kind donation. It would also be a huge burden to train everyone on the proper procedures for eTapestry use. In order to eliminate data entry and cut down on paper, it would be awesome if I could create an in-kind donation form that volunteers could access through the link generated when you make a DIY Form that would flow into our database so the only thing I would have to do is generate the thank you letters/receipt. It's not something we would share publicly, it would be a form specifically for internal use that eliminates any entry errors but streamlines the process. Currently the volunteers fill out a paper form that someone then has to enter into eTapestry. A DIY Form that would flow straight into eTapestry would be a huge benefit!
I have played with the DIY Forms a bit and can't find a way to include the fields I need to pull this off, including the UDF's I made for in-kind donations. If it is possible to do this, I haven't figured out the appropriate form to start with. Donation form won't work and contact form won't work - I've tried them both.
