When running thank you letters through eTapestry, this feature is especially frustrating. If recurring/monthly gifts are automatically checked "final," mass updates (as in, to mark that thank you letters were sent) won't affect the journal entry. We have to manually go through each gift and uncheck the final boxes for each gift in order to mark the letters sent. If you have more than a few recurring gifts, this becomes a hugely time-consuming and frustrating task.
