allowed me to move a gift from one constituent's journal to another

I would appreciate the ability to move a gift from one constituent to another. When a gift is mis-credited for whatever reason, It is really obnoxious to have to recreate the gift on the correct account and then delete it in the old account, especially if it was a credit card transaction. It would be SO much simpler to be able to move a gift from one constituent to another with just a single button. This would remove a lot of frustration from my work-life!

The ability to move a journal entry is now available. Please see our Journal: Move Transactions help documentation for more information.

I have this page bookmarked - to remind me why it's a waste of time to put any more ideas into the Idea Bank.

Ideas ETAP-I-43, ETAP-I-1171, ETAP-I-495, ETAP-I-69, ETAP-I-891 all suggest this same idea and have collectively nearly 200 upvotes, going back more than 3 years.  This should really be taken more seriously by eTapestry as a development priority given the significant efficiency savings to users, the multiple requests for this and the fact that it ought not to be a difficult fix.  The ability to mass transfer some journals to another account would further increase the efficiency savings possible.

PS - there are 4 or 5 other requests for this same improvement, with large upvote totals, so this really should be an eTap development priority

Totally support.  The response 'no plans to change' is unhelpful given how much this has been upvoted

The current process takes up a colossal amount of my time and a pain in the neck to do manually move transactions.  Not only is it frustrating for the staff, but for the constituents, as well!

Seconded!! Credit card transactions in particular are really tricky, so whenever I have to delete a processed transaction and replace it with something I don't actually process, it feels very insecure. Plus, it would just be nice to be able to move the gifts around from spouse to spouse if they were miscredited, etc. We have some legacy gifts that were present in one spouse's account, but that we've realized overtime belong with the other. It would be nice to just click a button and do that, rather than having to rekey all of the information.
