If e-tapestry allowed users to add a campaign number and campaign type, it would allow more flexibility in reporting for grouping campaign financial totals and also look at totals for similar "types" of campaigns. Web campaigns versus print campaigns, etc.
With increased need to use the fund field for where the money is being designated, grouping similar campaigns together for efficient reporting would help non-profits get more out of the data we spend time entering.
There is no reason to hand-enter such data into a separate user-defined field when it can be entered once into an optional field in the current database structure. This same idea applies to approaches as well.
