Currently the only way to show individual gifts by date received in order of "household giving total," is to run one report that shows individuals gifts by date, and a second collapsed report that shows household giving total by year. The trouble is the total shows up on the line below the gift amounts and the account name on the line above. If you try and sort the chart by "received," because everything is on a different line - you completely lose the household grouping. To see the "top 50 donors" you would have to then run a collapsed report and then cut and paste to re-create the new excel document in that order. There needs to be a standard report that keeps the household as a group, but still shows individual gifts by date, in a manner that allows us to sort by total or this report is borderline useless one it is exported to excel.
