would allow you to change the default Donation Frequency and Payment Type on DIY Form.m

The Default for Donation Frequency is set to One Time and all of our giving levels are for monthly recurring donations so having the ability to change what is defaulted would take off one step for the donors and eliminate people accidentally making a one time gift when all but the 2 of the 6 are recurring options. Having the ability to set the default Payment type to an EFT rather than a Credit Card would allow people to be more aware of that option and when they use EFT over CC we save on CC fees and don't have to worry about updated people CC information all the time.

    This is an old article so I am wondering if this is possible now? I am working with our new marketing company on changing the form and this is embarressing that it is so fixed.

    Yes! Please! We want to launch a campaign specifically to obtain more monthly donors. We aren't taking away the option of one-time giving, we just want it set as the default. I don't understand why this is such a big deal to change.

    From Blackbaud Institute's "Sustainers in Focus Part 2: Proven Practices for Success" report: "The most appropriate and effective way to encourage sustainer giving for new or retained donors is making it the default donation option on the website."

    THIRTY FOUR votes is quite a lot, surely.. 

    -add a tick box for 'make default' or

    -make the list sortable by the user or..

    This is very disappointing that you've decided to not fix this. The default option of One-Time makes no sense. Even Blackbaud encourages us all to ask for monthly donations which we are doing, but your default of One-Time makes this less than intuitive for donors.
