Allow customers to update credit card information
Ideally, customers would have an account and be able to log in and update their credit card information. They would receive a notice that the payment did not go through and they need to update their information. It saves everyone time and increases the chances for donors to remain as donors, rather than staff or volunteers having to call them and request their card information over the phone. People's hesitation to share that information over the phone is growing (and rightly so) and this would be a much safer, more efficient way of completing information and transactions.

Clarification on the functionality we are planning for the 7.77.0 release -
We will be releasing access to Blackbaud's Credit Card Updater service in eTapestry to allow a donor's credit card information to be updated automatically. This does not include the ability for donors to manually update their credit card information.

Update on this functionality: It is currently scheduled for the 7.77.0 release, which is tentatively scheduled for late April.

We are currently in the development of this functionality. We do not have a specific date of release, but we are planning on it being available to customers by the fall time frame.

An update on this idea.....We are working on a process, that if you use Blackbaud Payment Services, outdated credit cards will be updated with the new information. There will be a setting that you can toggle on or off and then on a scheduled time each week, the system will find any credit cards that have expired and update them so that you continue to receive those donations to your organization.

We are in the early stages of implementation. The earliest it will be in the system would be February of 2022. As we get close to a release time frame, I will update you here.

Checking-in to see if this has been implimented yet? Allowing donors to update CC info independently is much needed.

Hi, has this been implemented? It's a real pain not being able to create a DIY form to let donors update their credit card details.
