Automatically appear Pledge Payment when their is a Pledge in the Journal

This would prevent from accidentally selecting Gift vs Pledge Payment when there is a pledge in there. And then avoiding sending open pledge letters to those who actually paid but it was recorded in-properly.

We really need a way of the person making the gift online to designate that it is a pledge payment, and if it is, Blackbaud should be able to tell from our database what year the pledge is for and how the donor wants to apply it. Currently, we receive notification of a gift made, and only after we bring up their name in eTap can we see if it is a pledge or a gift.

This is incredibly time-consuming, and in my particular nonprofit, I'm IT, office manager, HR, and development, splitting time between two locations.

For as much as the software costs, there should be a way in the year 2016 for there to be a web form that can understand who is inputting the card info, and to display a pledge button that changes the subject field of the email we get to say "This is a pledge from Jane Doe for 2014".

What's even harder to believe is that there are no plans to address this when it should have been part of the design from the beginning. It isn't that hard if you want to do it, the question is, do you?

When entering a gift, we already display all open pledges on the right hand side of the screen which should help you with this issue.
